What happens after your assessment
After your audiology assessment, you may have a wait before your hearing aids can be fitted.
If you’re getting hearing aids on the NHS, they will aim to get your hearing aids fitted in 6-7 weeks.
If you’re getting hearing aids privately, the wait time will be dependent on your clinic. Many aim to fit hearing aids within two weeks of assessment. In some cases, on both the NHS and privately, you can be fitted with your hearing aids on the same day.
Looking after your hearing aids
When your audiologist fits your hearing aids, they will show you about how to look after them. They’ll also explain cleaning, maintenance and further appointments.
