Short-term (and often intensive) support to help people regain confidence and independence they might have lost through illness, disability or injury.
Our reablement services are for men and women, over the age of 18, who are deaf, deafblind or have hearing loss – sometimes with additional complex needs – who may be recovering from an illness or injury. It tends to be provided to people who have just been discharged from hospital or who need support following a crisis, and is often short-term and intensive.
Support usually takes place in the person’s own home, but could also take place in one of our care homes (if this level of support is needed, and we have the availability). Our teams will encourage the person to regain the ability to perform their usual activities, like cooking meals, washing and getting about, so they can do things for themselves again, stay independent and live in their own home.
If you would like to talk about whether our reablement services might benefit you, or someone you know, please contact us.
