Who we are
We are the only care home with nursing that specialises in supporting people who are deaf or deaf/blind. Based in Bath, we provide 24-hour nursing and residential care to 20 men and women over the age of 18. The people we support have additional complex needs, including learning and physical disabilities, mental ill-health and dementia. Our team of specialist registered nurses and experienced support workers can provide continuous observations and assessments where this level of support is needed. We can also provide end-of-life care.
How we support you
We can give you a safe and comfortable place to live. We have 20 single bedrooms, some with overhead hoists and electric, height-adjustable, multi-position beds. All rooms have washbasins and we have a number of adapted toilets, showers and bathrooms that include specialist jacuzzi baths.
Our two lounge areas are fully equipped with TV, DVD and Sky facilities and we have a separate room where we offer a range of stimulating activities to help people to stay mobile and to encourage social interaction. Our in-house catering team provides meals, which are served in our spacious dining room, but we also have separate kitchen facilities if you would like to prepare your own drinks and snacks. Two wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available to use for activities and day-trips, and we provide weekly access to a mobile hairdresser, aromatherapist and chiropodist.
At Leopold Muller we pride ourselves on providing extremely high levels of person-centred care. You will have your own named nurse and key worker who will support you to retain and maintain as much independence as possible and you will be fully involved in your own support.
