How do I apply?
If you’re interested in a job listed on our vacancies page, you can follow these steps:
- Check the job description to make sure it’s right for you.
- Fill in the online application (please email AskHR@hearingloss.org.uk for an alternative format).
- Upload your CV and supporting statement.
- Submit your application.
What qualifications do I need?
The job description will specify what qualifications you need. For some roles you should be willing to study for specific qualifications, for example in British Sign Language or Health and Social Care.
When will I hear about my application?
When you submit your application, you’ll receive an automated response confirming that it’s been received. If you submit your application prior to the closing date, it will be passed to the recruiting manager for shortlisting.
If you’re selected for interview we’ll contact you by email to make arrangements. If you’re not selected, you’ll receive notification that you’ve been unsuccessful on this occasion and your details will be kept on file. Unfortunately, we can’t always respond to each applicant individually.
How will you contact me?
We will usually email you to arrange an interview, so please provide an email address you check regularly in your application and keep an eye on your spam in case our email happens to go there.
If we need to make contact with you more urgently, we’ll try the telephone number you provide.
What documentation do I need to bring to interview with me?
Details of the documents you need to bring will be specified in the invitation to your interview. All candidates will be required to bring evidence of their right to work in the UK.
For some roles, where a criminal records disclosure check is required, you’ll need to bring additional documents with you.

Our vacancies close at midnight on the closing date specified in the ad (unless otherwise stated), however we may be able to accept your application if the deadline has recently passed. Please email AskHR@hearingloss.org.uk
