Leave a gift in your Will

Your gift can help us to discover and develop treatments to prevent hearing loss, restore hearing loss and silence tinnitus, as well as fund life-changing services and campaigns for equality.

How your gift will help

Gifts in Wills are vital to the work we do.

Over two-thirds of the money we receive as a charity comes from the people who kindly remember us in their Will. Every gift, no matter what size, makes a real difference to our work.

Just 83p was spent on ear research per person living with hearing loss in 2018. This compared to £193 spent on cancer research per person living with cancer, and £16 spent on eye research per person living with sight loss.

At Action on Hearing Loss, 92p of every £1 that is donated goes straight into our charitable work:

  • We provide information and support to people who are deaf or have tinnitus or hearing loss, to help them to overcome challenges and live a full and happy life.
  • We campaign to change attitudes and make society more inclusive of people who are deaf or have hearing loss.
  • We fund pioneering research that’s bringing us closer to restoring natural hearing and curing tinnitus.

A gift in your Will could help secure the future of our pioneering research, our life-changing services and our campaigns for equality – until they’re no longer needed.

Stephen’s story

“I became profoundly deaf in 2001 and, after some time with hearing aids, I’m so thankful to have received a cochlear implant. I have left a gift in my Will to Action on Hearing Loss because it’s through research that this has been possible. I want to support research into future technologies to help people with hearing loss and eventually lead to a cure.”
