Our strategy

In 2019 we started work on refining our strategy as part of our Fit for the Future programme. Through our new strategy we will transform our activities to have wider reach and impact for the 12 million people in the UK living with deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus. This activity will be delivered through information, support and research.

Our areas of focus

Our new strategy will focus on three key areas:

  • Our research: a future where hearing is never lost.
  • Campaigning for change: equality for people with deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus.
  • Our community: connectivity, information and support for our community.

Our organisation

We also have aims as an organisation to create a strong sustainable charity for the future that will help us impact our hearing loss, tinnitus and Deaf communities. This means focusing on:

Our people

Through a new people strategy, our people will be put at the heart of our organisation ensuring our staff and volunteers are deployed, rewarded, recognised and developed appropriately.

Our corporate services

Transforming our corporate services so that they meet the changing needs of the organisation.

Our technology

Reviewing our IT strategy and investing in the infrastructure to ensure we embrace modern ways of working that enable us to work more flexibly and collaboratively.
